Ya know, I find myself a new member of this club. I was very luke warm to it initially. And then in the past couple months, getting geared up for the shows, I put it on a couple CDs. And I was fucking HOOKED. This is one of the many songs that needs to be played more.
Oh oh OH oh OHHHHH! I have been a member of this club for eons now- FUCKIN LOVE SOME TC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ransom paid the devil...he whispers pleasing words...
Triumphant are the angels if they can... get there first...
Up here so high I start to shake...
Up here so high the sky I scrape...
I'm so high I hold just one breath here within my chest...
Just like my innocence...
Welcome to the I FUCKING LOVE TREMOR CHRIST CLUB. Enjoy your stay.
But remember, membership comes with responsibility:
1. About every three weeks or so, you'll have to post an "I' fucking feel like talking about Tremor Christ" thread.
2. Every night before you go to bed, you have to get on your knees and pray to whatever entity you believe in that Tremor Christ gets played at the next live show.
3. You know how people put their right hand on Bible and swear that they will tell the truth? From now on, you'll have to use Vitalogy Vinyl for that purpose whenever you're in a situation like that.
Now sign right here _______________ and I'll give you your members only jacket.
It was so great seeing them play this song in Italy because those guys brought the flag to every show that said Tremor Christ on it.
Great fuckin song.
"The world is dangerous, feel safe here tonight..." EV 9/17/06
38+6 shows at the age of 27 and counting...but still no Undone
I liked this song when it first came out but when I bought Neil's Ragged Glory and realized it sounded so much like Farmer John, I devalued it a bit.
Still good song nonetheless, just not one of my favorites.
But the similarities really end after the opening riff, and IMO the similarities are quite vague anyway.
Farmer John is more upbeat, the riff is more jumpy and the song lacks emotion...Tremor Christ on the other hand has a slower riff and Eddies vocals and lyrics make the song.
my goodness, i came into this thread being all "oh i dont really like tremor christ as much as other songs so whatev.." but i listened to it because of all the love it got on this thread... and i'm happy to say that now i'm a believer in the holiness of Tremor Christ!
Great song...Has really grown on me over the years also. Would have been great to see it on the last tour, but I will just add it to the list. Please count me in as a official member...I love these threads.
It's funny when things change so much
It's all state of mind
Don't sweat the small stuff and it's all small stuff
You think you hate it now, wait till you drive it...
Kids, you tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try.
I think tremor christ is my favorite song by perl jam, and maybe my favorite song all bands included.
I just love that song. I got chills everytime I listen to it.
The last 30 seconds are just too good
