I can't find the thread, but apparently the guy that did the Ten reissue was layed off by Sony.
I think they guy also said that Sony didn't have future plans for this now... not sure if it was, but I assumed by the design of the first one that there would be more to come.

I was looking forward to getting the entire PJ collection on vinyl for slightly less than an arm and a leg! Oh well, I guess I don't use my left arm that often.
Some info from the band or the fan club would be nice on this. I don't give a shit if Sony has the rights to these re-issues, 10 Club knows what the fuck is going on.
I can understand them wanting to remix/update ten, but I can't see a reason to change vs I love the sound of it = my favourite album (of all - not just PJ).

It'd be nice to have the big boxed sets, but I just want some 180g vinyl, so I can sell off some of my originals.

Compression aside - as far as sound of the instruments, and the relative volume of the instruments, I thought it wasn't bad. No Code sounds like a muddy bassy mess in comparison (production wise, not performance wise). Other albums had their own issues.
However I think the best sound is when they just jam in a room, like the BS promo or SVT.

i heard that it may be a VS/Vitalogy combo reissue and that its not dead
Where did you hear this?
VS/Vitalogy together would be amazing, or VS/Vitalogy/NoCode... though NC would be a dramatic difference from the other two. No Code/Yield seem like they'd fit by themselves quite nicely.

I think this is just what people were assuming at the time the Ten reissue came out. The Ten reissue box had the years 1990-1992 on it and it was thought the next reissue would be 1993-1995 which would have included both Vs/Vitalogy.

Yup - logic would certainly dictate that it would work that way. I'm just wondering if anyone saw anything specific from Sony or TC about this, or if it's just our speculation.
I'd say it's safe to assume that the 90-92 reference does mean that there was hopes this project would grow...

I think it is on their to-do list behind opening the vault of pre 1998 shows.
Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river
Hopefully the delay in reissuing the subsequent albums will give the powers that be a chance to release an audiophile quality product that is not compressed like the Ten reissue was.

I don't really see the purpose of any further reissues. TEN was the only reissue, by Pearl Jam or any other band for that matter, that didn't come off to me as anything other than a money grab. Extra tracks, demo versions, whatever, they are just filler to try and get fans to buy the same album over again. TEN, on the other hand, righted a wrong that so many of us felt - an amazing album of songs that were overproduced... Vs, Vitalogy, and subsequent albums don't have the same issue. Trying to remix or remaster those albums would be akin to re-editing ET or Raiders of The Lost Ark. They should stay as they were. TEN was the exception that proves the rule.
I do understand the vinyl requests. That's a different story, related to something people want that isn't available. They should just reprint them without making a big deal about it.

a source that knows that this was an actual discussion at the label...whether it comes true or not is to be seen. i personally think they should be separate
So speaking of Pearl Jam, when’s the next anniversary reissue coming out? Vs.? I wish I knew. [NOTE: PJ Central says they’re not sure yet, maybe fall, nothing definite yet.]
Were you please with how the Ten one came out? I was very pleased. I think there were four varieties of it? I thought the biggest one was certainly the coolest. Jeff and Eddie, who are really very much our archivists, they still have so much stuff lying around. And Ed took a lot of his own time to be meticulous and go over his notebooks and pictures and memories and ideas, as did Jeff, and I think they spent a lot of love and time doing that, honestly. On Vs., we were just talking about it yesterday backstage — apparently there are some outtakes that were pretty cool. One called, I think, “Indian Beetles” or something like that. Just old tunes from around that time that never made it onto Vs., that Ed had listened to and thought maybe we could throw some lyrics on a few things, and add that to it.
