Secret Show (Tri-state area) Announcement Sunday Night

Got a tip that there's a secret, small, tri-state area show by a band from the Seattle area coming up soon. (that's ALL the info I was able to get)

The announcement will be made this Sunday night (5/2), between the hours of 9pm-11pm EST with ticket sales starting on Monday (5/3) on NYC radio, 101.9 WRXP. Streaming at http://www.1019rxp.com/

The DJ during those 2 hours is a devoted PJ fan with the most insane vinyl collection known to mankind. His name is Rich Russo (http://www.richrusso.net) and his show is called Anything, Anything on WRXP.

The last time he had a super secret show announcement....turned out to be Foxboro Hot Tubs (aka Green Day) at a really really small NYC club.

I've been trying to get some info about this tip that I got....to no avail, all he can say is, tune in on Sunday.

Start calling the station and sending him some emails...see what we can dig up.

    What are alias' the band or EV has used and do they ever reuse them. Going to Jazz Fest in N'orleans and assume they will be playing a secret late show (likely EV). Didn't know if anyone had any tips.

    no, they play small enough venues as it is - and are already playing a college in NJ on May 20th...how much smaller could you get?

    He's talked about getting PJ to do something small for a while now....he also said that with Green Day....and he got Foxboro Hot Tubs.....

    I'm surprised he put himself out like this. Yes he is a Big Bruce and Pearl Jam fan. How about keeping this on the downside until the announcement Sunday night. :D It would be harder for those to get tickets if it wasn't a surprise and the on sale is suppose to be on monday morning. The announcement could be part of the Limp Bizkit free show Wednesday night at Gramercy Theatre first come first serve 500 people 1 ticket per person.

    tri state area was all i could get from him....but i've a feeling its nyc anyways.

    a lot of seattle bands yes, but with his love for all things PJ....who knows.

    lots of venues have openings around pj's end of tour schedule

    can Kat hint to anything maybe? although i doubt it.
