I know it's not earth-shattering news, but my Gardenia's first flower opened today. It smells fantastic!! :D

I've had Gardenia house plants with buds on them before but in the colder places I lived the flowers always fell off before they would open. Or, maybe it was that they didn't do well inside the house. (I'm not sure what it was, but it was disappointing.) :geek:

Anyway, I was hoping it'd be different here with growing plant outside in the sun, and luckily, it WAS! The successful completion of that bud made my day. :)

    one of the most important films i have ever seen was vanilla sky. tom cruise states "its the little things...theres nothing bigger". seems to fit in with your post nicely.
