Psyched that so many new albums are coming out while the tour is going on. Will make for some great driving music!
May 11th: Dead Weather and The National
May 18th: Band of Horses, The Black Keys, Rollings Stones: Exile remastered

I am sure there are more, but I am most pumped for these. Can't wait to check out Band of Horses open for Pearl Jam in Boston and then grab the new album, along with The Black Keys, the next day! Sweet!

yeah may is going to be great. not sure if anyone mentioned, but the new pornographers may 4th as well. the national's new one is the best album i've heard this year, and the broken social scene album is not too far behind. can't wait for my official copies to arrive in the mail.

...in addition, my month of may will be kicking off with a my morning jacket concert at merriweather on saturday. the future is bright.

May is a very busy gig month:

    Broken Social Scene
    PJ
    Massive Attack
    Ricky Gervais
    A-Ha (couldn't resist)
    The National
    Buzzcocks
  • The new STP album is probably my most anticipated album of all time. It's the entire original lineup back after 9 years of no new material. With my other favorite bands like for example Pearl Jam you can expect a new album from them every few years and with Alice In Chains their singer is dead. With STP they're releasing a new album after nearly a decade, my excitement is literally at a fever pitch for the album.

for me atleast it's been a pretty bland few months new music wise but May/June is insane!!! I need to get the new Johnny Cash, Dead Weather, Band of Horses, The Hold Steady. National and The Black Keys. Insane my fav bands all releasing music in the space of a month.
I'm just flying around the other side of the world to say I love you

I know, I know....I've heard that TCV and Mastodon are insanely loud, though...A day of buzzing ears is cool, but almost a week, plus probably some minor pain is a little too much.
