that may well be. i am sure for EVERY pre-party/city...there are 'better bars' around. thing is though, do you simply want to go to a better bar...or do you want to hang with as many jammers from here as you can? that's the choice.

however, going by past pre-party experiences.....the local fans who organized ALWAYS chose places with ample space, close to the venue, etc. just saying, 5 days before the gig bit late for 'alternates' if you want to meet as many as possible. believe me, for other pre-parties i may not be 100% pleased with all the 'plans'...however....i didn't get involved, i didn't put the time/energy in that others have TO get it planned....and i just want to meet/hang with as many boardies as i can. THAt is why i go to the pre/post parties...to hang with friends...to meet many more.
i'm sure you could get a group of fundraiser attendees to do a crawl on the way to verizon (maybe finish up at fado? although there is a euro 08 game that afternoon at 2:45... should be a lively futbol crowd there)
