If you're not interested at all in me shamelessly advertising my band, please STOP READING.

Well, I tried to get around the danger of pissing you people off and this being seen as spamming... I hope it worked.
Somehow i practically had force myself to post this here, because I know you guys all play in bands and know what you're talking about and I'm not exactly known for my confidence when it comes to my music.
But I thought to myself I might as well grow a pair and just do it. So here it is. My band.

We're releasing our new album next week and already uploaded a few songs. Feel free to tell me what you think about it. Thanks so much for listening and if you have any questions, ask away!

It's a message board we "pay" to be a part of. I don't really think spamming is possible, especially in a section called musicians and gearheads. Maybe if you were posting this in Porch.

Anyways, I like it. I can't really pin-point the sound you guys have, but it's good. It does sound a bit familiar, but still original. Would you consider your sound Muse-like?

    Good luck!
Here's a new demo called "in the fire":

Yeah, well, maybe you're right. I don't know. Still wanted to do my best not to piss anyone off. :)

  • Sounds good bud. Really does, you should be proud. It's not always easy to write and record music.

Thank you all so much! It really means a lot coming from you guys.
Good deal! What gear are you using?

Guitarwise, the new album was recorded using a tele and a strat as the main guitars (and a Les Paul on one song) and a Hot Rod DeVille and a Tiny Terror (into a vox 2x12) as amps.
Bass was recorded with a HumanBase, which is a german brand and in it's configuration very similar to a Stingray, going into a MarkBass amp that was plugged into an Ampeg cab.
The keys were a Clavia Nord stage, a piano and a cheap and very strange 70s organ.
I'm nut too sure about the drums, cause we used the studio set. But it was a very basic setup. Bass, 1 tom, Hihat and one Crash-Ride. What I do know is that the snares were two Supraphonics.
And then an assortment of mikes. Mainly Sures, Neumanns and Sennheisers.
The basic tracks were all done live in a guitar, drums, bass and keybard setup.

    I think that's about it.

The older recordings are a very different story...

    Thanks again for listening, everyone!

Yeah, well, it's a thinline. So the sound might be a little different. But all the basic tracks were done with the tele as far as I remember.
