wasn't there some kind of article, i think by two feet thick, about how to behave during a pearl jam show or something? it was like showing people how to do like the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 thing in animal or the hallelujah part in do the evolution. i can't find it and i figured maybe someone here bookmarked it or something. thanks in advance! :D

anyone recall a similar article, from a reporter (circa 2006 or 2008) who went to her first Pearl Jam concert and wrote an article about it... she described the experience with a Rocky Horror Picture Show analogy...

Yea I remember and have the link on my old computer. Think the writer was sent to review the show in Washington in 08' and ended up addicted and seeing 3 or 4 more shows.
Was a really great article that hit the nail on the head about seeing Pearl Jam live.

  • I believe Ed himself has made the Rocky Horror connection. In an EW article from 2006, the interviewer was asking him about the fans and mentioned the coordinated hand gestures. He responded with something to the effect of, "So we're less Grateful Dead and more Rocky Horror?"

when i saw the title of this thread
    Concert Etiquette
first thing that popped into my head

just don't pee or vomit on anyone!

    trust me..........it happens.
there's always one or two threads after a show where some poor soul has endured this all in the name of Pearl Jam.

i dunno i think it's fun to see everyone doing the same thing sort of like a kinship. i like seeing 20 thousand people throwing their hands up saying hallelujah or putting their arms in a V or having people's hands upraised and open towards the sky... hmm. maybe it's just the same action for every song... ;)
