Not a terrible list. Good to see an American rag give The Smiths some love, but no PJ in the top 50? Blasphemy!

Yeah Yeah Yeahs It's Blitz, but not Yeah Yeah Yeah's - A Fever to Tell?

Kind of strange given the rest of the list is posting a band's most critically successful album

Nice to see Fugazi on the list but was there any Rage Against The Machine on the list? My eyes aren't what they used to be. :D

What am I missing with this album? It sounds like 4 or 5 good songs and a bunch of filler to me. In my book that doesn't qualify as a great album. Although, that English cover is pretty nice.

This isn't right. There are only two R.E.M. albums on the list.
  • its an odd list. seems like spin tried too hard to be the anti-pitchfork on this one.

    I thought that too.

Although I'll have to look again as I probably missed it...but I think that System Of A Down's Toxicity should really be on there.

Dr. Dre - The Chronic deserves a spot in there no doubt.

I'd also nominate his album 2001....but I'm biased, I like Dre a lot.

Very cool to see Guided By Voices' Bee Thousand in there. And at 26!!!

But, is The Cure's Disintegration really not on the list? Maybe i missed it, but if not, that's crazy!!!

And The Strokes at 18...give me a break. I was feeling ok about it until I saw that.
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

if it were rolling stone, Dylan would be every album in the top ten. Bob Dylan could record audio of himself taking a shit and Rolling Stone would give that 5 stars.

I would be forced to buy an album of Dylan taking a shit just to keep my collection correct.. and it would probubly be better than his Christmas album. I still love ya Bob!!
