I've read that the singles Even Flow and Jeremy were not released as buyable single in the US until June 1995. Is that true? So they were played on the radio in 1992 I assume? How about Oceans?

  • They were played on the radio, quite heavily. You could only buy the singles as imports ($10-$11) to get the b-sides.

Thanks for that explanation. I've read that is also applies to the Vs.singles: Go, Daughter, Animal and Dissident. So, why was it?

Not sure about the USA, but in Canada, Even Flow & Jeremy singles were released here on Maxi CD Singles by Sony! The only thing weird about them was they were not Made in Canada or USA. The CD's were Made in Austria! Then Oceans came out early Fall of '92 with the Pink Pop tracks.

Alive was released in 1991. While Even Flow, Jeremy & Oceans were released by Sony Music Made in Austria in '92. It's also weird that when I traveled to Greece back in 1995, I bought a few Pearl Jam LP Records & they were all Made in Austria. I guess that was their main distributor. Just like the latest Backspacer singles are Made in the UK.
  • I also bought the European version of Ten with Wash, Dirty Frank, and Alive (live) soon after I bought the regular version back in '92. And it didn't cost that much either. Still have it too.

Costed around $26.99 CDN when that was sold @ Sam the Record Man! The Japanese "I Got A Feeling" bonus track on Ten costed around $50 bucks CDN!

I miss those day's. I would of thought there would of been a bonus track for Backspacer on that SHM-CD Japanese release. But no bubkiss! :(

Some idiot posted a torrent over @ isohunt.com. Claming it was a bonus track. It also turned out in the end it wasn't even the Pearl Jam Backspacer record. lol
