Breaks at end of songs?

So i have noticed for a while that i'm pretty sure every album except backspacer (Rearviewmirror and Lost Dogs excluded) that there is atleast a two minute break and then a hidden track as some would like to say. Why is that break there? Is it as simple as it is a hidden track or whats the deal?

    correct i meant on disc one with yellow ledbetter being the closing track.
    Maybe i'm wrong again i'm not sure
