Would Benaroya Hall LP for MSG1 ticket be a fair trade?

What the title says. I have a Benaroya Hall LP (vinyl) (opened but never played) I am thinking of trading for a fairly decent single MSG1 ticket (preferably fanclub). Would this be considered "reasonable" by the PJ community (i.e. you folks)?

I know I only paid, what was it, $40? for the LP, and the ticket's face value is about $80+, but since the "market value" of the LP, I understand, is now more than $40, would this be fair? Not looking to rip anyone off, and definitely not looking to try to sell the LP for a profit. Just trying to reach a mutually beneficial deal with a fellow fan.

Any comments are appreciated.

    That would be more than fair.

    It would only be semi unfair to you. But as long as you are happy.

    I would personally hold out for someone with a top 99K Ten Club number. But that is just a suggestion.

    no offense but i wouldnt give a concert ticket away for a vinyl. then again i love the black keys and dont give a damn about vinyl so i might be the wrong person to comment.

    This is more than fair but like the above poster said, hold out for a sub 100xxx 10C #. The vinyl is worth upwards of $400 and the ticket is only $80 something bucks.

    I'm against anyone scalping TC tickets, but since you paid $40 and are willing to trade it for a TC ticket of whatever number with no other payment, then I'd call this a straight-up barter. Good luck! You'll end up with two happy and lucky fuckers! :D

    I think its unfair to you personally... those vinyls are like $400+ on eBay and the ticket is like $80.

    but like it was already said - the vinyl was originally $40 so its hard to say that its really that unfair. The MSG tickets are 'worth' more than face for good TC members just as the vinyl is worth way more than the $40 TCers paid.

    Agreed. Especially since he can probably find someone outside the show to sell him extras for face, if he's ok with a variety of seat locations. Having a Benaroya in his car would be a good backup plan... as people are walking in, hold up that holy-grail and yell "who wants to trade" would certainly get a crazy response. :D

    well Id stay close to the 1oc window and have a sign that I will give you this box set if you sell me your 4 digit 10C ticket for face (to avoid any question of selling above face value :mrgreen: )

    Actually, 2 130xxx tickets should be a pretty good view! I'm 125xxx, and at the last MSG show I was about 17th row, so yours would probably be almost the same spot. He'd be trading what he bought for $40 to you what you paid for $200. Who is making out better is subjective.
