painting/tarp question

So I just got my first set of acrylic paints, some brushes, and a pallet and of course paper. My last step before I start painting is since I live in an apartment I dont want to get the floor ruined, so what do you all suggest I put down on my floor, to protect it? Tarp? newspaper? something else? Where can I buy such a thing?

    My ex used to put down a shower curtain. cheap to replace too !
