has PJ ever opened with Sometimes/ Hail Hail?

edited April 2010 in The Porch
just wondering. i'd love to hear that boot if they have. Sometimes is an underrated opener and busting out Hail Hail afterwords would be too cool for words.

  • Tampa 2008. My best show I've been too. Perfect set list for all my friends that went for the first time. It was a great night and the sound was dialed in. best sound show in a tuff arena to play in.

  • The thread starter is asking which shows started with sometimes INTO hail hail. Not shows that open with Sometimes by itself. Jeez you people are thick.

Don't you mean the REM record release party?

(For those who haven't heard it that's how Eddie introduces the show)
"I get into a state of consciousness that I can't explain. It is about feeling and not thinking. I get positive chills and insight into things that I can't get to any other way. It is Healing of the Soul." - Mike McCready

they opened with Sometimes in Asheville for the "vote for change" tour. Eddie was a little under the weather but the show kicked ass!!
by nine he had deciphered the illusion, trading magic for a fact...

Auckland '98 was a double whammy... not only did they start Sometimes --> Hail Hail, they followed THAT up with Brain of J --> Faithfull.

So... yeah... Sometimes --> Hail Hail --> Brain of J --> Faithfull. The two song opener No Code/Yield combo.
And I listen for the voice inside my head... nothing. I'll do this one myself.

San Francisco 2006 they opened with Sometimes about 20 seconds into the song Ed stops singing and says, "I forgot the fucking song" and they went right into Severed Hand.
