I am a huge fan of the song, it's one of the most exciting, interesting and enjoyable things they've written in my opinion, I'm not saying it reaches the lofty spiritual heights of listening to, say, release, but it's a rockin' fav of mine.

but there is far better stuff on yield.

Yield is their 2nd best album.

The lyrics in PMPM help form the nucleus of the YIELD album.

"Look man, you can listen to YIELD but you can't hear it. There's a difference man. Just because your listening to the album doesn't mean you're hearing it."

    PBM
"We paced ourselves and we didn't rush through it and we tried to be as creative as our collective minds would let us be over some course of time instead of just trying to rush through a record"

It's my 3rd favorite song on YIELD, behind only No Way and Faithfull.
--"I'm like an opening band for the sun"

--"We’re taking pills to get along with life… the pills are YIELD and PJ’s music. Then we create words to call our own = our analysis of YIELD." - YIH
  • iys a great tune but behind the likes of, in hiding, given to fly, low light and my favourite all those yesterdays

Low Light is the obvious best tune from the album. Here's my order:

    Low Light
    Faithfull
    Do the Evolution
    No Way
    Given to Fly
    Push Me, Pull Me

MFC: Way, way, way at the bottom.

actually it's one of my least favorites of that album. the are much much better songs in yield, at least that's how i feel.

btw, does anyone else think that the bass line at the intro reminds too much of rearvievmirror's main riff?

  • It's underrated, but not THAT underrated.

  • i'm like an opening band for the sun.
  • It's amazing. I love it.

  • I love every track on Yield and I wouldn't pick any one song over the other. It's a perfect album IMO.

My favorite line from this song.

I've always liked Push Me Pull Me, maybe because it is so different. It's hard to compare it to the rest of that album. It's more comparable to I'm Open from No Code, but PMPM is much better. Another song from Yield I'd love to see them start playing again (along with All Those Yesterdays).
  • Firstly, I love the song, but I'd have to put my top three from Yield as

    Low Light
    Pilate
    All Those Yesterdays

How about the Taxman-ish bass riff under the like a cloud dropping rain part?
