    To be fair, have you read her lyrics? Nobody is more critical of Courtney Love than she is of herself, so I can't imagine it's a barrel of laughs getting up there and singing a lot of those songs. And if that's how she feels when she's up there, it's no wonder she doesn't enjoy touring that much. And it's not like there aren't plenty of singers who just phone in their performances - I would rather something real, and having seen Hole live a couple of times I could never say she isn't the real deal.

    I think the general gist was that she acknowledged the fact that the name Courtney Love was synonymous with chaos, and that she doesn't want to be that person anymore, she wants to get her shit together and validate her celebrity. I read something earlier that said there's a whole generation of music fans who only really know of her as a train wreck drug addict, which is sad, because underneath all that, she isn't without her talent.

    Ok that was probably a poor choice of words on my part, what I probably meant to say was that she doesn't want to always be seen as Kurt Cobains's fucked up, drug addicted, unhinged widow.

    To be fair, have you read her lyrics?     Apparently that's a 50 minute concert set with 4 albums worth of material as of a few days ago according to some of our friends on here in attendance for the show.

    I don't think millions of people are going to buy music they don't actually like off the back of the fact that the singer used to be married to someone famous. If you're talking about exposure, yeah I can see what you're getting at to some extent, but it's not like Hole weren't an established band with a decent following before Courtney married Kurt Cobain. I think it's easy when you don't like someone to malign anything they do, but the reality is a lot of people liked both Live Through This and Celebrity Skin, both critically revered albums that have stood the test of time.
