Been 3 months since Pearl Jam was last played by me...

Thought I'd give Pearl Jam a rest, I was overplaying them, I mean everyday.
What a great way to break the drought by listening to No Code.
My favourite album, the album that turned me onto Pearl Jam.
Sounds fantastic :)
3 months without PJ, wow, how did I do that.

    I stopped listening in preparation for the Hartford show. It's been a week so far. The Black keys album is making it pretty easy

    thats funny I'm just the opposite, I listen even more with the upcoming shows. I know the show will just be over so quickly that listening to them now, reflecting on past shows and anticipating, wondering "will they play this", is a way to make the experience last longer.
    Now that take a break with sex might work but not with Pearl Jam, they never get boring ;)

    To get geared up for the concert I have taken a break from listening to bootlegs and have switched to studio albums. LOUD! I feel like this will make the live experience feel fresh when I go to MSG II but I will still be amped up and fully immersed in the catalog. For the past 10 days I've been playing Ten Reissue, Vs., Vitalogy and No Code LOUD!!! and now it's on to Yield and Binaural for awhile.

    A day without listening to a tune or riff by Pearl Jam is hard like trying to stop smoking. Once you head out for lunch break downtown, and you see other's smoke (aka listening to Pearl Jam off the radio or from somebody's car stereo), you wanna piece. The temptation is gonna thrill you. It's an addiction. You gotta have it. You'll flip out & run after that smoke (aka case that car playing the Pearl Jam music), to get your blood flowing again.

    You people are NUTS! Talking about taking time off not listening to the PJ for a few weeks/months. Are you out of your $%#*@&$ MINDS?!?!?!?!

    Where's my ice tea damnit! :x

    Yeah i havent listened to them since like the bootlegs from august 09. I sometimes question whether i still like this band and if i've just had enough.

    I've been trying to start the pearl jam fasting for the past 2 weeks now. Hasnt been working out at all. That damn shuffle on the iPod ruins it for me. Once it starts playing I cant not listen to it :oops:

    Here, here. I told myself two weeks ago to go on a Pearl strike to get ready for the 4 shows I'm going to, and I always start humming a song or not pay attention and put a bootleg on and then I'm like damn it, guess it will start tomorrow then.

    Fasting is bullshit, its not like it makes the live experience any better than it already is. Goddamn it I cant wait for May 17th!!

    :lol: I meant abstaining a couple weeks like before we got married, we did that, or before a special occasion or before crazy wild hotel sex, makes me hotter for hubby. The tricks after 31 years :) but yes to music in the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, family room couch, back deck, back seat of the car ;)

    I listen to 1 bootleg everyday. Trying to finish the 2003 tour before May 15th. Today was 6/25/03 Detroit show. When I am all done with the 03 tour I will stop listening until after the live shows.

    NIN and Jimi Hendrix kept me occupied.
    I just felt I was overkilling PJ.
    The songs started getting stale after so many thrashings.
