Worst Soundtrack Ever!!!

Did a search first. Couldn't find a thread dedicated to this but here goes.

I'm at work this morning. I over hear that the kick ass film to see next month is Iron Man 2. I can't wait to check it out. Scarlett Johansson kicking butt? Sweetness!

They said the soundtrack was released today in stores, April 20th. And who was on this kick ass soundtrack? It was all AC/DC. 15 plus classic AC/DC tunes. Plus it includes a bonus DVD that included trailers & music videos of AC/DC. Are you kidding me? Only AC/DC on the Soundtrack? I couldn't believe it till I got home to check online. Low & behold it was true!

http://www.vancouversun.com/entertainme ... story.html

http://www.amazon.com/Iron-Man-2-CD-DVD/dp/B0035WTE2U

"CD includes 15 AC/DC classics and fan favorites. DVD features over 50 minutes of career-spanning music videos and behind the scenes footage."

What? Has Hollywood stopped caring about music 2 film soundtracks/scores?

When you hear Iron Man, what one song comes to mind? Black Sabbath's Iron Man right? Or something that kicks butt. Why then is Iron Man's 2010 Soundtrack purely & only AC/DC? It's a Greatest Hits CD. Was the band embarrassed to release another Greatest Hits CD? To cover it up, they are releasing it under/for a Hollywood film, Iron Man 2! :|

I'd say one of the best ever. ACDC kicks ass and it's not the first time they've owned a soundtrack.

Who Made Who is also and all ACDC soundtrack for the movie Maximum Overdrive

Didn't Ed do a whole soundtrack?

Yes, Ed did for Into The Wild. But Ed wrote brand new tracks. Nothing was reused or heard before on any another album/soundtrack. For Iron Man 2, it's all Greatest Hit tracks by one artist, AC/DC. What was Stan Lee smoking. I really enjoyed many of his Marvel Comics film/soundtracks, but this is insane. Hopefully there will be a showing of this film @ a local theater in sub titles. Cause I can't stand AC/DC with a passion. 1 song, i'll let it slide. 2-5 song's, oh boy. But the whole soundtrack to a kick ass film? Save us sweet Moses, save us!!!

what will be the soundtrack for IRON MAN 3? A GREATEST HITS RELEASE BY KISS? GOD KNOWS THEY RELEASE ONE EVERY YEAR! all soundtracks for movies suck, other than THE CROW soundtrack and INTO THE WILD the music never seems to intertwine with what's going on within the movie. If they can't put together a group of bands to get the right kind of vibe, then leave the music out and throw in a PSYCHO screech every now and again. That would make as much sense as throwing in old rehashed songs by one band.

    My favorite soundtracks are:

    Spawn
    fight club
Singles (nobody will ever top that one! ;) )
    and of course ITW!

But an AC/CD soundtrack only that's kind of lame, plus it doesn't offer any new ac/dc material

The spiderman one soundtrack is awful.

I swear, after 9/11 the only music I remember hearing was bands like nickelback, puddle of mudd, default, three days grace, p.o.d., many of whom are on this soundtrack.

I hate AC/DC with a passion. It's a pain listening to the singer sing. It sound's like he's screaming while taking a dump or something. It's totally awful & painful music to listen to. It's torture music! Plus their music sounds the same over & over & over. I would rather hear Celine Dion or Ace of Base all day then hearing anything from AC/DC. Find a new singer or something. Yes, it's rock and roll, but there are hundreds of thousands of rock n' roll bands out there that sound 100% better then these guy's. It's all about the singing. AC/DC vocals is torture!

No doubt. Throwing Celine Dion in the mix puts some real balls on that statement...

I'm quite partial to a bit of AC/DC now and then just for the riffs, first ever gig was them in '86 and saw them last year but while I thought they were great first time (aged 14) they were fairly shit last year. Too loud and Brian Johnson couldn't sing when he joined and the last 30 years of trying to sound like a constipated elephant with a double hernia haven't improved matters. Bon Scott rules though but this is a shit idea for any soundtrack, even if the movie was about AC/DC it would be a shit soundtrack!

If you think those are the 2 best soundtracks in the world you are on glue.

As for the AC/DC thing with Iron Man I think it suits the film and its a brilliant marketing move by AC/DC, all they have to do is throw some songs on it and they make millions.
