I'm still waiting for a Verizon version, but it's good to see the new design. Much better looking than before, though the last one wasn't too bad. A good read, if you've got 20+ minutes to kill.

    Wow... not a word? I was excited to read this and see all the photos and video of it, let alone that it was found in a bar near the Apple headquarters, and was concealed inside a slightly bigger case to make it look like the old models.

    While I personally don't care about anything Apple releases, there is already an active thread about the 4G phone and maybe that is why no one is responding here (although it's kinda quiet there too).

    Not really into new gadgets but don't you think that was a setup ? to accidentally leave that in a bar? come on....

    I don't pay attention to rumor mills, particularly where Apple is concerned.

    Until an actual product is shown at an actual Apple event, or announced with an official press release by Apple, I believe nothing.

    I don't disagree, but whether it was a stunt or not, it's a sweet looking new design.

    i hear that! i wanted an iphone but i hate at&t's service. got a blackberry, then read that verizon will probably have iphones by the end of the year. :evil: and i read that before all this "lost"-prototype business.

    Seeing as how AT&T's 3G service is spotty at best, I'm pretty sure their 4G service is going to be a joke.

    I can see the ad now...
    Luke Wilson is talking about AT&T's new 4G network and how fast it is but failing to mention that it's only offered in 3 cities and even then you have to fight every other AT&T user to obtain decent 4G speeds..

    It looks so freakin nice. I hope there's a way for me to upgrade when it comes out.

    Oh and it's 100% real. They ripped it apart and there were apple labels everywhere.

    I don't think it's a stunt, but Gizmodo has totally whored the story. Naming the guy's name who lost it, posting conversations they had with the guy where he basically says "I can't talk about this", etc. Enough is enough already. The guy made a mistake. It's an iPhone, not weapons grade plutonium. Sometimes I just don't get geekdom and their obsession with technovelty.

    I Couldn't give a shit about the new iphone.
    But I do respect them for thier 'market advertising'.
    I say it was a planned stunt, if you had one, you would pass it around the bar for people to play with, but wouldn't forget to take the prototype home, no matter how many drinks you had..

    World wide attention? Good advertising.
