I know there was a thread about this last year. I haven't watched the film in a long time, and the part with Eddie soundchecking the intro to Immortality was just beyond moving. It's one of the most beautiful moments captured on a concert film.

I've been trying to get an audio file of this portion, and I'd really appreciate it if any of you kind souls would PM me a copy if you happen to have it. Thank you very much!

  • That intro was played a lot during the 1996 tour. Never could understand why Ed stopped playing it. I always loved it.

The only times other than 1996 that I know it resurfaced was that moment on the DVD and in London in 2007

He played it in Cleveland in 2006, first time I saw the song performed.

One of my very favorite moments in IIC
It's really breathtaking- I always have to watch it twice when I pop in that DVD!
Even my mom, who is not a PJ fan can appreciate it's beauty! I was watching one day and she stopped and said "Who is that? That's pretty!"

Is there a tab anywhere for this? I'd love to learn to play it on guitar.

If I recall correctly it's just a variation of the G Em chords that make up the original intro.

I've tried to mess around with this and I think you're pretty much correct- except I play Cadd9 instead of G

Oh yeah, you're right... It's been a long time since I've picked up a guitar. The brain's a bit rusty.
