Sleeping Disorder

Trying to fall asleep - trying to make order
Yet, I find it a challenge
For, I know soon I'll have to wake up
Soon, in the middle of the night
I hear my cat purring loudly above where my head is at
That is where she sleeps
as I calmly anticipate
what happens next
A violent spasm of sorts up my right leg
Then up my left - starting at my foot
Along with chills throughout my being - my soul
Is it all the caffeine?
Too much sugar at night?
Falling down into my throat
Blank esophagus
Whole stomach ache
I find it hard to sleep especially since
I soon must wake
I dread my drowsiness during my class
More coffee down my throat
Caffeine ingested
Sugar tested
Help me stay awake
Help me stay awake
For goodness sake
Goddamn stomach ache
My heart beats on faster
I do predict disaster
Too much caffeine plaster
Is it Sunday yet
I do not know
All signs of life
Drifters drifting towards a light
Shards of light
Blocked by the shade of life
For goodness sake, I need to sleep
For soon, real soon
I will have to wake
Stay awake

wow... I so seriously have those nights, and never realized anyone else was as bad as me!!!! this is really great, I enjoyed every line, and felt every word. Very well written, in my opinion.
