I'm looking at rates, but they're pretty steep. For only one night, that is. I'm from CT, but will probably be too tired to drive home after the show. (Rockin' out tends to do that to a person...LOL)

Anyone have any promotional codes or something?

Use Priceline.com's "name your own price" feature. Bid on a 3 star hotel in downtown Hartford for $70 and you should get the Hilton that is right beside the venue.

    INTERESTING!!!

About 1.5 weeks ago I started out at $66 and pulled nothing for a 3 star in Hartford.

Waited and upped it to $77... NOTHING.

Finally went as high as $92... NOTHING.

SO I eventually just booked the Crowne Plaza for $116.

I know in 2008 I got the Crowne Plaza for $50 something... so i was really surprised when i kept getting REJECTED....

Guess even Priceline decided they don't like me any more..... oh well...

You beat me to the obvious question.

As for the guy talking about the AAA rate - keep in mind that the Pricline "fees and taxes" includes prepayment of any state or county hotel taxes, whereas any published AAA rate would not include that - you'd pay it at check out. I have no idea what the hotel tax rates are in CT, but I would guess at least 8%.

    crowne plaza not refundable?

    overpaid by about $33... :(

(as parking is free at crowne plaza and 18 at hilton)

    not refundable through priceline..

    and btw!! I didn't bid $92.... LAST WEEK.... I bid $97!

    UGH!!!

oh well... $33... divided by 2 = about $17 each extra... not a huge deal... but annoying as hell!!!!

Earlier today, I got an email from Hotwire saying that anyone that had an account would have preferred rate. I got the Hartford Hilton for $69 plus tax - it looks like it's at $79 normal rate right now.
    My lips are shaking.......

hopefully it pops back up for you

it may RE-OPEN. That is what happened to me! Crazy how Priceline works.... the hilton was priceline listed at $199 and the crowne plaza for $116 when i booked. I went up to $97 on name your own and got nothing... (so i booked crowne plaza for $116) then a week later, people were scoring with $65 bids again!

Tried priceline tuesday with $65 a few hours too late  . Procrastination kicks me in the ass again  . Now that I bought a Newark ticket I'm not sure I could afford much more for the room. Hope the 65-75 price range gets me a room at the Hilton. If not, it's a good thing I have a designative driver 8-) till nyc.
