I've heard the song a million times and it's one of my favourites but it's recently taken new meaning for me which really made me think about the meaning of the song. I know Mike went through some drug problems at the turn of the century, I was wondering if that song came from that situation, Eddie and the guys trying to help Mike ... help himself?
Mike McCready makes the energizer bunny look tired.

    It's about Mike/drugs and I assume others in a similar situation.
