I was on that smokinggun website reading the Roethlisberger police reports (seriously, that guy is a fucking loser) and I came across a cool section of the site that has various artist/venue agreements. Here's PJ's from 2008: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/backstaget ... 8jam1.html First thing on the list....two bottles of red wine.

Here's all the other ones: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/backstagetour/

I wonder if they all soak their feet in epsom salt after the show.. while enjoying a pb&j sandwich.. what a mental picture

How long are they backstage that they are going to use all of this stuff? I don't think I use 48 white towels in one month, let alone a day.

If only I could give you my memories... in hd of course. :D

PJ's requirements are pretty basic actually. Usually catering is able to handle this stuff without a problem. Once in the rider for RHCP I had to go buy socks presumably for their genitalia.

I like how, when they said the grapes should be washed, they said "please". :)

It's amazing to me that some of this stuff even has to be said (though I'm sure it does). I mean, shouldn't the venue realize the towels should be clean, for instance?

The Foo Fighters rider is pretty amusing, and apparently Metallica loves, and I mean REALLY loves bacon (check their rider pages 19 & 20).

Its funny that for breakfast right under the *Important note about BACON... they request vegeterian baked beans.
Then at lunch they request a vegetariam soup followed by BACON.
And at dinner they request a vegetarian dish and then...BACON.

metallica has (or at least used to have) a few vegetarians who worked on their tour production staff.

I understand, its just funny that the vegetarian requests tend to be right next to the big, bold (free?) line about BACON for all 3 meals.

  • Why does it read in all caps "AT NO TIME SHOULD ALCOHOL BE PUT IN THE ARTIST DRESSING ROOMS"

Is that so nobody bother's the artists in their dressing rooms looking for a beer?

  • i love tour riders

i worked for the uvm concert board in college and as "roadie" in diego for rhino event staging and productions

ive had to do some running for some bands in college and like on the warped tour and stuff around diego

primus was the best back in college, i got just what you'd expect for them. marshamllows, peanut butter and un-dyed long thermal underwear

meeting les (and trey!! and stu copeland!! as this was the first time oysterhead took the stage together for a couple songs mid-primus set) was def a college highlight for me
and fuck me if I say somethin you dont wanna hear, fuck me!
and fuck me if you only hear what you wanna hear
fuck me...if I care...but im not leavin here

My friend works for KLRU (Austin's PBS station), specifically she works the Austin City Limits TV productions. The day of the taping she showed me PJ's rider... the thing I remember sticking out was the BBQ grill. I guess they really wanted to BBQ.

They REALLY wanted to BBQ, 'cause they decided to BBQ on the 4th floor of the building (where the taping happened), so the taping ended up having a BBQ smell. Ah, the memories.

I love the demand for clean and decorative furniture. Would Ed have a shitfit if it was just a white sofa?

Could you imagine having a job where you are making millions of dollars a week and you get to demand all of this shit on top of that? Instead we are all stuck checking this message board once and awhile at our middle class jobs or even worse, unemployed while ticket prices go up.
