If you haven't heard it (which is probably to be expected since it hasn't been released yet), it's pretty excellent. Almost reaches You Forgot It in People-heights, and with more listens it might become my favorite record of theirs.

almost is a good word, otherwise i'd call you out for blasphemy. haha, i love it though. you're right, it gets better with more listens. a sign of a great record. only tracks i haven't dug yet are 'art house director' and whatever the second to last song is. not terrible songs, but i think the album would've flowed better without them. i'm more of a fan of kevin drew, and i love what the girls add to the album.

easily the best album i've heard this year. it will be tough to beat.

Good album, but not great. Which is what I was expecting.

My favorite song off the album.

because John McEntire from Tortoise produced this album, i had some pretty high expectations for this record, and i'm not sure i would call it a return to the form of You Forgot It In People...it's a decent album, but it certainly could've been better...the ideas don't seem as fleshed out as they could be...the live renditions of Sentimental X's from last year when it was just an instrumental jam are better than the finished product...

gonna see them in a couple weeks in NYC...let's hope the live show is still as good as it's ever been..

Repeat lessons confirm this as a great record. It's a breath of fresh air after the self-titled album, which is still good but nonetheless disappointing in retrospect.

i've listened to this almost exclusively for the past week and it really does just keep getting better and better. i thought self-titled was great though.

"World Sick" and "Art House Director" are two of my favorite songs of the year!

I really gotta see these guys live someday.

    hi Folks,

If you haven't heard or Broken Social Scene (BSS) ... of if you have but never bothered with them... do yourself a favour.. DO IT! :)

All albums are dynamic and fantastic!!!

I didn't think it would... but this album solidified itself as good enough to be amongst the first two records.

    Dare I say... perhaps better.

    Highlights:

World Sick, Texico Bitches, Forced to Love, All to All, Art House Director, Ungrateful Little Father, Meet me in the Basement, Sentimental X's.

Any album that has 8 songs as great as the aforementioned..... should be considered Great.

    Go listen. :)

anyone going to the Toronto shows this week?

their hometown gigs are always fantastic (despite the sound academy being a shitty venue)..
