    His Sister, Rachel, is in an all girl punk band out of New York that's pretty good. I forget their name, so I'm an idiot.

    Anway, I love Elliott Smith's music and see many of his old haunts here in Portland on a regular basis. He's had quite the musical influence on this city.

    yeah, I am a big fan, got into his music in 2004 after he died. I was completely absorbed into it for a year lol, he probably is in my top 5 favourite bands & artists.

    I can listen to each album easily, they all have amazing songs on them

    I was listening to Benyroya Hall this week and forget that before Can't Keep Ed dedicates the song to him "this one is for Elliott" as he died the day before the performance

    I'm wondering how much he knew of his music or if he heard people talking about it backstage that day and it stuck with him that day to say something before song, curious
