It started @ 9am today @ work on Q104.3 Halifax. The debut of Ozzy's new track. And from that point, the station played it every 2nd hour. It's an ok tune, but I miss that Wylde guitar effect.

It's cool Gus G, fellow Greek, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gus_G is on guitars on this record. Will be a tough act to follow Zack Wylde.

i can't stand this! zakk's the frickin shit. i can't get into gus g & i am done at least for awhile. if you're going to fill a fuckers shoes you better step up to the plate & fill the fuckers. in my opinion the shoes are not being filled worth a kiss my fanny.

gus is a good guitarist but he is no zakk wylde by any stretch of the imagination so maybe loose the chain wallet & maybe go play with firewind.

im sorry. it's a fucking drag is all i gotta say.

Hell, Zakk isn't Zakk anymore. He got too full of himself and his playing really suffered. Heard alot of sloppy playing with Ozzy in more recent years and I've got to the point that I can't hear another pinch harmonic without throwing up. The thing that made alot of Ozzy's tunes great is they were pretty damn catchy, with ridiculous guitar playing, but Wylde made it too much about being heavy imo. It's been a long time since Perry Mason and Ozzmosis and that was Wylde's last great work and it even had quite a few extra songwriters on it.

Gus G definitely doesn't have the track record that Wylde has, but by the sounds of it they're neck and neck for sheer ability.

Every last word of this is true. It's unfortunate- Sonic Brew is one of my favorite albums of all time (Book of Shadows as well) - the decline was swift and stunning. There's nothing more that I would love to see him do than outright strike everything after Stronger Than Death from his catalog. There are moments on Hangover Music, but just to be safe, there should be no exceptions.
