So now I'm done looking for a girlfriend, and now i'm looking for all your opinions on the BEST live version of Sleight of Hand??? Does anyone else feel the earth move when they hear this song, or is it just me??? And... what is all your opinions on what the song is about? I already know what it's about for me, as I wear a uniform for a living... - Bobby ps. oh and I'm done looking for a girlfriend because I remembered that when you're looking for love, you'll never find it. But, yeah, I'm still kinda lookin.

    I love this song, but I can't for the life of me think of a "good" one. I think its such a subtle song that differences are less apparent.

    That's a good question that I've never found an answer for. I've done all kinds of super-dorky comparisons for other songs but never tackled this one. As CJ said, the differences are less apparant so it's not easy to pinpoint a "favorite" version.

    I know it been said but Beneroya Hall has the best version ive heard. so intimate , very good solo... best version. olso is also very good.

    Thanks for all the great responses... Beneroya Hall almost doesnt count, because the magic that occurred during that performance is truly beyond comparison... I do like that version though. I've listened to so many different live versions of songs, that when I go back to the studio albums, the song sounds new again. Just wanted to add... best live version of Animal might just be the MTV performance at the old video music awards.. Eddie's anger and Jeff's showmanship, with Stone's repressed energy was so very apparent during that moment in time!

    I used to not like that song much.. until I heard it live.
    It was Tampa (can't remember the year), and I decided to take a piss during that song. What a mistake!
    I rushed back to my seat and that damn song was reverberating the rafters and i thought the roof would melt! it was awesome -- probably the highlight of that show for me. I had a new respect for that tune after that night.
