I think that old bird caught the shakes from Jack Riewolt after his efforts in front of goal against the mighty Swannies last Saturday.

That Nic Naitanui IS a bit special.
I'm glad he's on my side!

Just started 3rd quarter of Eagles and Essendon,
    a win would be nice.

Brilliant player, he is exciting to watch, very damaging player.
    Melbourne should have drafted him.

Hey aussies, quick question. My buddy went to Oz last year for a few months and came back with an AFL jersey for me. It's the Brisbaine Broncos...what do you guys think of them? Good squad? Bad squad? What do you crazy aussies know about this team?

We don't get much of this stuff on TV here in the states, but I love watching this game when I randomly see it on an international channel.

Well, the Brisbane Broncos are a rugby league team, not AFL. Thats all I know........

That is a NRL team, National Rugby League.
Do you mean Brisbane Lions? They are AFL.

Hey I don''t like them, but they've been a really good team. Since coming into the comp in 1988, they haven't missed a finals series, which is making the top 8 out of 16 teams. They have been the most successful team in about 22 years. They won the comp in 92,93,97(though this year was in a rebel league called super league, some don't really count it) 98,2000,2006.

A really successful side, though this year, they are going pretty shit. But they have one of the best players in the world Darren Lockyer, he is getting old though. So they could maybe make the finals again.

So in summary, they have been a really good side, in my opinion, they are on the slide.

Quick edit: You may be wondering, AFL is the most popular code in Australia, a totally different sport to what the Broncos play in.

AFL is popular in Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia Western Australia. It is popular (to an extent) in New South Wales (where I'm from) and Queensland(where the broncos are from), but these two states are dominated by Rugby League. Victoria have a Rugby League team, but it is about as popular as the AFL teams in NSW and QLD. So the people who didn't have much of a clue about the Broncos were from an AFL region.

As for me, I love most sports, so I love Rugby League and AFL.

I see Jackson from the Tigers got off his suspension.

He would be dirty, you don't blame all the tigers for wanting to be suspended, I wouldn't want to be playing for that team either.

In Australian Rules Footbal, thats AFL! to the newcomers.
We play with no helmets or body protection and just go for the ball to kick it through Squew Wiff goal posts from 40 metres out.

Oh, and we do it for the love of the game and NOT the perks!
( shame on Storm  )
