It's really fascinating and really awesome, but it is in no way what you would expect it to be.

I went in not having any idea what to expect and I think I was better off for it. It starts off being about street art and those who create it and goes from there. I don't really wanna spoil it... I can only say, see it, you won't be disappointed.

Actually, it premiered earlier in the week at the Victoria here in the Mission {he said snobbishly} ... it was pretty funny.

Seriously though ... I wasn't surprised in the least because I follow the artists involved, but, still thought it was great.

Enjoy, let me know what you thought.

Well excuse me Mr. Fancy

I absolutely loved it, cracked me up, and a great commentary on the art world. I wanted to punch that rich trick that had all that artwork and didn't even like some of it  Banksy is brilliant.

Thank you for understanding my sarcasm. Glad you enjoyed it.

I get a charge out of Banksy's work ... how he tweaks people / gets them outside their comfort zone.

I've tried a few times to win a chance to buy some of his screen prints, but failed.

If you liked this, try finding a copy of "Who the #$&% Is Jackson Pollock?" ... another damning look at the art world.

Yeah I enjoy his perspective a lot. His book, "Wall and Piece" is great.

I need to see the Pollock one, I read an article about it, sounds good!

Hey a friend of mine just sent me this link, I think you will enjoy it! :)

Got to walk by a few of Banksy's works today (yeah, snapped a few pics as well) ... including the indian above which is actually only 3-4 blocks from my place.

Thanks for the map chiqui, didn't realize that one was so close to me.

apparently it was an accident. only in that the bloke didnt know the significance of what he painted over.

what i love about this news is..
    1. we actually heard it ON the mainstream news

i loved it... but if banksy thinks he can get away with that fix then hes sorely mistaken. it just too conveniently dovetails into what he thinks of the artworld in general. and if shepard fairey cant see why people think something is suss then he best stick to art and not take up poker.

it was also great to exit the theatre and discover my old friend orejas hiding behind the dumpster in the alley.

It is showing on Netflix right now, so it is a good candidate for a Friday night viewing!

Did anyone see his 2006 show in L.A.?

It was very cool....they kept the location "secret", but it wasn't too difficult to find.

Yeah its streaming on Netflix - no waiting for DVD! This was fascinating - so quirky, and such a twist to it, and jut great commentary on the art world, pretentiousness... I don't want to say too much because its really different and I don't want to spoil it - but its not that long - worth seeing, definitely.
