"Pearl Jam just got confirmed for 2 shows at MSG ...this summer"

was in the e-mail I got last night at 11:51 pm

The source is good...dont ask cause Im not telling...dont wanna get anyone in trouble. :)

    if those are the dates it looks like they are heading north after Roo. And the june 27th hartford date looks more solid.

    Thanx for the good new's,..Now just confirm the camden dates and that's 4 concert's within an hour's drive....

    That's going to be a crushing disappointment if it turns out to be July, but now I am hopeful.

    This is starting to look like a great summer. I'm quiting my job around June 15th and starting my new one a month later. Looks like I know what I'm doing for a month now. ;) The timing couldn't be better.

    i would think Philly would be the weekend before MSG. The MSG dates are a Tue/Wed so may Philly is the Fri/Sat if they get 2 shows. If not maybe it is DC on Fri then Philly Sat. I doubt they would go past Phily to ny then go to Boston then back down to Philly. not very "green" of them.

    It could be that the venues aren't available in order.

    In 2006 they went from Michigan to Boston to Philly to DC to East Rutherford

    In 2003 they went from DC to Boston to Philly to New York to Boston, to Hershey to Holmdel

    In 2000, they went from Columbus to Jones Beach to Saratoga to Boston to Philly.

    In 1998, they went from Columbus to Philly to Raleigh and then some Southern shows before going back and doing NYC, Hartford, Boston and then DC.

    So they haven't ever done the shows in travel order on any of the recent tours.

    All I know is that if there are two MSG shows, I am going to be happy I held off on Roo tix on the chance of other shows this summer.

    MSG... the greatest band in the world playing the worlds greatest arena... summer dosent get much better than that.

    Well let's just hope they follow a logical order and have Philly shows before MSG... because I'll be in a car on my way to Michigan on the 25th and not back on the east coast till after the 4th of July.

    i was REALLY hoping for july, personally. hubby and i both took off june 21st through the 29th, was planning on going to seattle actually. i already 'warned' him that may need to change :p.....but i'd prefer not. but HELL NO, i am not missing pearl jam in NYC proper for the first time since 2003.....my 2nd and 3rd pj shows ever in fact.

    i just truly HOPE they announce ALL shows for the summer/fall ALL AT ONCE NOW. *fingers crossed* it would be good to have the fully itinerary to plan well.

    3 PM cannot come soon enough. :D

    just have to look at the crazy way they did Europe last year! .. and it wasn't all the festivals fault either.
