Thru comfortable loins I’ve made
a pass at its stone cold centre;
you’ll have to put an ear
to its chest
and take a wild guess,
when will the rain arrive?
Tremble and you will fall,
Shivers’ the only shower you’ll get;
rumbling turns to tumbling
as you fall off its chest
and what was the taste
of that particular pill?
I see mountain hills
from beneath its feet;
two perfectly shaped demons
leaking into the night -
and pills don’t make you this high
squirting alongside a sigh!

"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."
Chief Joseph - Nez Perce
I had Kaddish by Allen Ginsburg in the background and found myself reading your poem with pace and it worked really well for me.
