Not a Mets fan, but went to the game this weekend. To my surprise, Jason Bay walks out to Pearl Jam. Hey, at least the Mets have something going for them!!!!!!!!

He can start using Rearviewmirror, 'cause he's not able to fix the Mets problems and they'll be in the Phils rearviewmirror all season.

Would be fun if he changed up the song at each at-bat.
Pleasant surprise though. Great day for a ball game yestersday.
Not sure this lineup will cut it, especially the way the Phils are playing. Maybe Reyes gets things going.
Could be a long year but just getting underway, plenty of ball left to play.
    Lets go Mets!

heard his at-bat music the other day at the game. Loved it. They did play the same snipet each at-bat, but at least its something.

How can you miss Bay when we have David "I'll look at that inside pitch for strike 3 four times in one game" Ortiz at the plate?

I don't care what music he comes out to....if he plays for the Mets he is an asshole

On a related note, Raul Ibanez came out to 3 different Backspacer songs today and Juan Castro came out to Corduroy so lots of PJ at CBP today. I'm shocked no one made a thread specifically about that. You people are slipping!

met fans are saying that too. he probably will be the only player that hits more then 20 homers and isn't injured. playing for the mets is like entering a last man standing match. i soooooooo can't wait till omar is fired.

yeah he is terrible. He only signed Pedro, Delgado, Beltran, Reyes, Wright, Krod, Johan, Bay....but he sucks. With a name like "metsfan" i would think you would be a fan of the Mets. After our staters failed in 07 he went and got the best starter, Johan. After our relievers failed in 08 he signed KRod and Putz. This year we needed another big bat, he signed Bay.

What would you have done?? Not his fault good players didnt play good or got hurt.

and if you want to say Castillo was a terrible signing, I will agree but point out that he batted over .300 last year, which is what you want form a 2nd baseman. (and I was at the game vs the yanks when he dropped the pop up so it is hard for me to defend him)

  • Used "Alive" as his music when he was with the Red Sox.

  • I have never held any bad feelings for Jason as a player, but why pick the The Fixer.

Seems a bit out of character.

He isn't going to Fix anything with the Mets. They are a mess outside of Reyes and Wright.

well it's not like every song they come out to has to personally apply to them. I doubt Castro had jackets or pants on his mind when he picked Corduroy.

Bay walked to the plate to "Alive" every game with the Sox. He clearly is a PJ fan

LOL. True. Thanks for pointing that out.

+2 for a Sox fan missing Bay.

Will you still love Werth when he plays for the Yankees next year, just like his dad did? ;)
