I feel your warmth
the breath on my neck
I sense the presence
another heart beating

Your touch
the balmy feel of your weathered skin
Your arms wrap around my still bones
Its been a lifetime since I felt the same state
Calm. Peace.

I wonder how long it will last this time.
Time has stopped.
All is right.
Pure hope and faith.
Belief.

I feel..... Wait, no.
Its gone. I scream. Awake. Panic.
Where did you go? Disappeared.
Were you ever here?
I felt you.
It was real.
I feel the joy seeping from my veins
My heart in a vise.

The confusion fades
Reality comes to light
You are gone.
Gone from my life.
Gone from my future.
Gone from my plans.

I want to return!
A place where I feel safe
without wanting to scream.
I can't find you now
I can feel you in my dreams.
I feel you holding me when I dream
Why can't you stay
Forever.

I wake up and realize
You are nowhere to be found
You have died.
I can no longer hide behind
these silent tears
I have cried.
