Facebook chat issue...

Is anyone else experiencing issues with facebook chat?, I am not getting the red icon thing pop up when I get messages?!
So I am not aware someones sent me a message without opening the chat pop up and checking.

    I hadn't been on facebook for ages until the other day, there was this little chat box - I have no idea how you work it, I just noticed that it said someone on my list was on-line. Sorry, this doesn't help you but I had absolutely no clue it existed until then. I'll keep an eye on this thread as it might tell me something about it.

    facebook chat is useless. It is unavailabe more often than not. I have stopped using it and just use my trusty old messenger.

    Just having a look, it says something about making a noise when a new message comes?

    I wish my friends would go back to MSN.
    I only use it because everyone now uses facebook.

    I don't get that red dot either, but I still get that "pop" noise. I just don't like when I try to chat with someone who's online and has the green dot next to their name, all of a sudden they're offline.

    i wonder how long facebook will last?

    do you think it will lose all its popularity like myspace did? then all the people you got in touch with will vanish again.. :lol:

    i have the same problem in facebook chat...exept when i chat with brisk..then all works well :D

    Lately there's been way to many glitches. If you're offline, you can still see the online user's on the left hand side. Once I got offline, clicked another page, I was back online again. :?
