I was there for this one....great show except for the location. I was waiting for a bull to come darting out somewhere. Also, I thought Tim Robbins kind of killed the show a little....not a big fan of his after this one. My friend and I saw him before the show started and he was a TOTAL FUCKING DOUCHEBAG!

i agree with the tim robins and location, but, the crowd was amazing. alot of fan club people i think. And at the time, death cab was my fav other band, so it was perfect. Drove from texas for this show. worth it.

You're right, the crowd was really amazing that night. I took a guy I worked with to the show, a PJ virgin, and he was blown away.

What a great show! I flew down from NH with a few buddies as a friend was living in Orlando at the time. The timing was great...we watched the Sox wrap up the ALDS vs. the Angels at a local dive, then got over to the arena just in time for the show.

The show itself was a little nuts..security was weak so everyone at the floor just rushed to the front. Last Exit opener had everyone fired up.

Yeah, that was fun. I was front row (through Ticketmaster). I don't think fan club seats were sold for this one. Wasn't it "Bob Roberts" that Tim Robbins was fronting...it was a joke, but PJ was fantastic.

Yeah, that show was sick. Crowd was awesome, but the location was a little bit strange. ;)
Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)

I was there, and I couldn't agree more. This was a great show. I seem to recall Ed and Tim Robbins chasing each other around the stage wearing a devil mask and George W. mask, and then at the end some champagne made its way on stage (end of tour celebration?).
Would be nice to get a boot, but can't see that happening at this point...

Gob Roberts was the name of his band

I've been to close to 50 shows and I wasn't crazy about that one. I thought the band sounded amazing but the venue was a joke and the crowd was mellow compared to a Boston or new York show. I've seen them in all corners of the U.S and nothing beats the northeast or northwest for a showand the Seattle shows I saw were ten years ago so I can't remember how good the crowd was. I was 22 at the time and my first cross country trip to see pearl jam so my memory might be enhanced.

Enough about the northeast... I have seen them all over Canada, US, and even Brazil. A show in Tennesse can be greater than one at the Garden. A show in Rio or Phoenix can change your life just as one in Boston.

That tour in gerneral was great. The venues were odd but the music was good. Gob Roberts is a part that I try very hard to forget about.

I was there, I pulled front row from ticketmaster as well. I wasn't going to go, but hard to resist front row. I remember I was trying to decide b/w the show in St.L(?) which was a bitchin venue and the 1st row seats pushed me towards Fl. Still the only time I've been there. Crappy venue. I thought Tim Robbins was a nice guy and I think Bob Roberts was a pretty good movie, so I appreciated seeing the band. It was a fun show overall, you could tell the band was having fun.
