I should if I could but the postman delivers mail in the morning, when I'm at work. And most of time, my girlfriend comes back home before me..

I'm glad all of my pearl jam related expenses are a mutual decision.
My husband and I met on the board back on 2003 and we are both BIG fans though I always remind him I have about 35 shows more than he does when he tries to point out how he is the bigger fan :D LOL

its funny (or sad) that eddie sings and wins prizes with songs that talk against the ridiculous materialism of our modern society, and a huge percentage of the posts in this message board are about goods, collectibles, people that buys and buys and buys and buys every pj item...its a weird contradiction, but anyway, 10 clube its also responsible for that, of course

    I dont agree.
I buy PJ merch out of the love I have for this band, Im yet to sell anything that I've bought since 1991. I listen to every LP,45,CD I own.
I wear every t-shirt I buy and I collect the posters to the shows I go to because they are part of my memories for that night.

I dont think you can compare what Ed talks about with people buying a record or a T-shirt..... under that comparison then we would all live in a hut, and have only enough things to survive.

I think your comparison is a little bit extreme.

well, extremes are good to explain a point. anyway, i dont mean to turn this thread into a "moving train" thread, but you must be aware that a huge, huge percentage of people in this world (more than 50%, for sure) actually lives in a hut and have only enough things to survive, and even less...so thats actually the world in wich we live: while some can get everyday more and more and more, the others are everyday pulled more and more down under the line until they havent even got the hut and the food to survive.
what pisses me off is that the 10 club has already clearly became a company as any other one, as a beverage company that will create a new flavor for the season for you to buy it, like a cell phone company that will create a new cell model for you to change the one you bought last year....well , its just that..im feeling a little sad that the pearl jam fan club became that...a company that creates products from time time to keep their sales as expected during the year...sorry again, ill try not to bother again with this

it's not about not bothering with it anymore, that's your opinion and I'm sure its a valid one, I'm not coming down on you because of your post, I just didnt agree.

I think that there is much more greedier people in this world than those who collect vinyl,or posters, my family is I guess middle income family, at least until we finish college but we work hard to provide for ourselves and our 3 boys and buying PJ stuff is one of the things we enjoy doing with our spare money....

I see your point, though I just dont think that 10C has turned into a cold business machine, but they are a business, the band can have their opinion about anything but they do need to make money for them and their families and selling music and merch is how they do it. IMO

Again I'm not bashing what you said, just not agreeing.

I am sure that Ed has a car, stereo, record collection, things he loves. If it wasnt for us buying all this shit the band wouldnt be as rich as they are.

P.S. On a side note I wonder if Ed would lend me some money.
