I thought I'd post this here since I know a lot of my readers go on here. Basically GrungeReport.net was hacked Saturday and has had off and on virus problems since. It crashed both of my computers. I am temporarily putting it down for the next week so I can switch webhosts to my Dad's friend's hosting company, which is very secure. The site should be back up and running by next Wednesday. I've been told that Network Solutions, my soon to be former host, is very vulnerable and that's why this happened. It happened to one of my Dad's previous websites too, so fuck you Network Solutions! I am really sorry to anybody whose computer got infected by this shit, it happened to me too and I've had to spend hundreds to fix it. I'm taking all of the steps necessary to make sure to site will be 100% safe and secure when it goes back up. In the meantime you can follow GR.net on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/grungereport and register for the forums at http://z6.invisionfree.com/grungereport

Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

Aw that sucks man (almost as badly as Scott Stapp)... Good luck on cleaning things up, and I hope the site will be back soon!

  • Update on the site. Switching webhosts but have to basically reupload everything which will take a few days. The site will be back up VIRUS FREE FOR GOOD on Wednesday/Thursday. Also I'll have up my very juicy exclusive interview with Eric Erlandson the day the site relaunches.

Can't wait to read that, I wonder what he thinks about the Hole 'reunion'?!
  • Another update, just talked to my Dad who is helping me switch web hosts and he actually said we should be on the new host within 24 hours, which means I could probably have the site up by Tuesday.

Trust me the Erlandson interview is AMAZING and completely exposes everything including why the real Hole broke up and what he really thinks of this "reunion." Make sure to read it the day it's put up because Eric even notified me I might have to take certain answers down, probably if he gets legal threats.
