Disappearing Glaciers

Alright everyone, to me the jury is out on man made global warming. I am leaning toward it being complete bullshit. So, I read this article and I look at the comments below and this one person makes a great point that I never thought of before.

" was listening to a story on NPR a while back. It said plants are being found in the glaciers melting at the tops in Peru and haven't been out of the glaciers for 5000 years.
Does that mean, earth's temps are now about the same as they were 5000 yrs ago?"

    To put your heads straight on the issue, the economist had a feature article on the science of global warming recently. It's a longish read, but a good and informative one.

    what'd they say of the smog... was that here 5000 years ago?
    the landfills?
    toxins in your water?

    Don't get me wrong I am all for recycling and better gas mileage and cleaner water. But, I am leaning that the earth changes on its own and we have a slight impact but nothing like Al Gore has said.
