(Routine)

Someone said
“Everything is nothing and nothing is everything”
Something means only what we want it to mean
Or does it?
And while I sit here contemplating
About something, meaning
Nothing
Or maybe just the shit in between
And as I walk and talk
With total strangers
Some place out there
The daylight is something nothing can see
I know not what I mean
Mean not what I say
Only that
I
Have something to look at today
Fast cars driving
Fast women
The highway signs see nothing
Poems taste like lollipops
Kitty cats and their flip flops
PDA’s and laptops
Cellular phones modulation
MP3 Aggravation
Road Rage Situation
Occurring in
A
Meaningful way
I know not what I mean
Mean not what I say
Only that
I
Have something to look at today
Complications from
A complicated war
Fingerprints that
Don’t seem to match
What used to be my own
Situations like meaningless struggles
Things I see on TV every
Single
Day
But as for today
Tomorrow
Next week
I’ll still see things
