May 20 Tickets - Real or Fake?

Hey All,

I have posted before with little success so I am trying again. A friend of mine is trying to figure out if the tickets he is looking at are real or not. A guy has them for sale on craigslist.com and wants to get them, but wants to make sure they are real. Does anyone have their hard tickets already? If so, can you tell me if the opening band is on there? If so, who is it? There has been a difference in tickets and now we are not sure what is real and what is not.

    Take a lit cigarette to the FRONT of the ticket. If it burns through its fake if not its real,it has to be done on the front. Scalpers will do this trick on the back if so ask them to do it to the front. My buddies friend years ago use to be a scalper outside of venue's and told us the trick. It's work many many times for me and friends who have bought scalped tickets outside of venue's in the past. If there real you'll just have a little cool looking smudge on your ticket and they go thru fine.

    I was going to post the same thing about the cig, when I would go on Dead Tour many years ago, someone showed us that trick also, if it's a real ticket and you put the cig on the back of the ticket the burn mark will show up on the other side. I still have a bunch of ticket stubs that I can see the burn mark on, it has something to do with the paper they use to make the tickets.

    I think the OP is asking how to tell if tickets listed on craigslist are the real tickets.

    Although the cig trick seems helpful to some, it won't do him any good if he is not in possession of the ticket at the present time.
