the David Dondero deserves some love thread

For those of you who don't know this guy, I strongly recommend a listen. NPR and other well-recognized music critics have named him in the top 10 lists of living songwriters, yet he does not get any recognition.
I think his last 4 CD's ( Shooting at the Sun With a Water Gun, The Transient, South of the South, and Simple Love) contain some of the best songwriting of the decade.
I had the pleasure of seeing him 5 times. Once, in as small arts studio in Tucson AZ, me and my friend were the only people who knew who he was. He decided to play guitar on the sidewalk and people gathered and he just kept playing until enough people gathered to play for, and we all went inside.
If he ever comes to your town (and chances are, he will, as he's one of the most well-traveled people I know), keep checking the hole-in-the-wall local venues and you may be treated to one of the most amazing live performers you'll ever see.
Plus, he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.
