Actually, it was November 16, 1996.
HSBC Arena ( formerly Marine Midland Arena ) opened
on September 21, 1996.
I saw Pearl Jam there 10 days after they opened.
Yeah, it was a pretty good show. It was cool to see them open
with 'Oceans'. The show to go to though would have been
Rochester in 1994. You would have been a 10 year old with a big
smile on your face !
