Should I go see John Butler Trio?

I have listened to the self titled album various times and its cool, i have also heard sunrise over sea once or twice.

The issue is its going to cost me a fair bit to do it all so i just wondered if anyone should push me in the direction of going to see them.

    My sister-in-law was just raving to me that JBT are a must see....and I trust her opinion. :thumbup:

    Thinking about this as well! Contemplating seeing them in Central Park in June- for $30, a nice summer day in between the last day of school and graduation- I'm learning towards yes! Why not?!

    they used to have epic live shows. Have not seen them in about 3 years, so i do not know what they are like now.
    the music has changed. hopefully they jam out alot of their newer music, or play some older stuff.
    i would like to see how the new trio is. Nicky Bomba's old band was great so he could add a great element

    I'll admit I havent seen them since Byron & Nicky took over on bass and drums, but i still wouldnt pass up the opportunity. you'll be hooked, trust me

    On their 4th album now and its just a slipperly slope downwards, their first albm is good, love colours atm!

    There hasnt been anything as strong since, the occasional good jammy bits but hmm.

    I saw them a few weeks ago, the new band is not as good but still very good musicians and definitely worth the time and money.
