"TBD will happen, and it will be Boston"

Just got another email from my buddy which said that the 5/18 show will be announced in the next 2-3 days, and it will be at TD Banknorth in Boston. His friend told him that he can't say much more than that.

He has no insight as to how 10c tix will work, but he seems to think that a public on-sale date may be next Friday, 4/16. Again, that is just speculation. Maybe 10c tix announced later this week, 10c sale Monday 4/12, and public sale 4/16?

We'll see.

    I hope you're right! Already have the 18th off from work and am hoping for that second show!

    i have seen 10c announce and sell tickets in the same day when it's an extra show like this...i hope this happens...1 in Boston is just not enough PJ!!!!

    Lets face it, Pearl Jam will not be playing The Orpheum. Its a great venue, but it doesn't make any sense. Imagine how hard it would be to get tickets and the scalpers would be all over that show! 10club sales would be very minimal (venue holds around 3000, so 10-20% would be 300-600 seats) and the bitching that would follow would be ridiculous. I don't blame the band for playing big venues in Boston over smaller ones. Why play at a small venue, where tons of fans would get shut out and you wouldn't make tons of $$$$, when you could play a 20,000 person venue that would ensure most fans wouldn't be shut out and you would make more cash.

    Personally, I would rather pay $100 and be guaranteed getting into the Garden, then get shut out of the Orpheum and have to buy scalped tickets for insane prices to get into the show.

    I think that at the Orpheum they could do it TC only so they'd have all of the tickets.

    That said I doubt that it would work and some have said they wont do shows there May due to no air conditioning?

    Either way - a second night at the Garden has made the most sense all along so I'm sure it will stay that way.

    Since 94 they have played at least 2 shows every time they come to town. Why would things change now? Scheduling conflicts at the venue would be the only reason they don't play 2 shows.

    They played multiple shows in 92 and 91 as well. 91 was more spread out though.

    Orpheum would be great if they did two shows: 18th and the 19th. Kinda like Gibson last year although Gibson is twice as big and there were 4 shows there.

    I'm averaging one post every 3.5 years since I joined the Ten Club :)

    I usually post on Red Mosquito but there was a lot more activity on this board surrounding the tour announcement.
