first show after the tragedy. long road is beautiful and the Its Ok tag w/ Daughter is so powerful. to have the band actually continue to play a month after 9 people were killed at one of their concerts. just go to proves how amazing this band can be. i am so grateful Pearl Jam is a part of my life.

listen to this show if you haven't.

seriously, I tip my hat to the guys for taking those first steps out on to that stage. The rest came naturally.

Long Road and Corduroy were especially powerful that night (I wasn't there, just from the boot).

one of the best shows ive seen. its THE show i give to friends that dont have any boots. ive got a pretty cool story about the show. i was with 3 other friends in the pavillion that night, and one of my buddys kept disappearing. next thing i know, he is standing in front of me with a bright yellow ticket stub. he convinced a guy in the beer line to let him get down in the pit with his friends stub. he told me he couldnt even take it because of the emotion and knowing i was a few rows out of the pit. he gave the guy his CREDIT CARD as collateral, and he came and got me :) next thing i know, he is standing in front of me with TWO bright yellow ticket stubs :) we were marching to SECOND ROW during daughter! the intensity. WOW! i have never had such a feeling at a show before. when i first made eye contact with mike, he laughed and spun around in a circle because i was staring at his finger work and he caught me watching him and he rolled his eyes with a HUGE grin on his face almost laughing because of the look on my face :-O he also was probably laughing at the fact that i wasnt there during the first half of the show and now theres this dude just watching all my finger work. i had never been so close to the band before. i just wanted to watch mike play. it was awesome. from that show on, ive always tried to get as close as possible on mikes side. when he notices you in the crowd, he lets you know! ive gotten many picks, waves and finger pointing in my direction, and it really does make the show special. i never wanted that show to end...

Back then you could only get 10c to one show and i had picked that one because i wanted to see pearl jam as soon as possible. I didn't want there to be shows in the us before i had the chance to be at one. It really was an intense, incredible and memorable show.

I think this was the first time for the It's OK tag and it was one of the most emotional experiences i have ever had at a show.

I love Pearl Jam (and my yellow ticket :) )

I'm not much the crier (especially not at shows!) ... but i seem to recall tears in my eyes at that point in the show.

    How horrible.... Roskilde. :(

Yeah, this was the debut of It's Okay and while the Jones Beach version is far more polished, nothing can touch the emotion of that performance. Being there that night, I think I can speak for most of us and say that we could all appreciate the band that much more and knew we were lucky to be able to see Pearl Jam again.
