The week of May 16th for the NY/NJ area:

May 19th: Alice in Chains @ Glen Falls, NY
May 20th: Alice in Chains @ West Long Branch, NJ
May 20th: Pearl Jam @ MSG, NY
May 21st: Pearl Jam @ MSG, NY
May 23rd: Stone Temple Pilots w/ Alice in Chains @ Camden, NJ

What year are we in, again?
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
Butthead: Huh huh.

There is a good reason for this, This music is far superior to most stuff that is released today.

Let's face it, our beloved pearl jam is now a "classic rock" band....and I have no problem with it.

  • Oooooh...1994! Damn, that was some fun music that will keep on playing in my head for the rest of my life!

I remember having no access to a radio for a while. Someone told me, "Soundgarden has this new song called Black Hole Sun. You are missing out on a whole lot of music." Gosh he was right! But soon I had a stereo AND MTV, so I caught up right quick!!!

Except there was no partying in the 90s. No, grunge was something different. Something serious after all the 80s hair metal bullshit. But partying...? No.

This made me smile. Because I thought of this thread.....
Today I happened to be listening to the radio and the theme was 94. the female announcer told this story about how she bought Vitalogy. She was too young and most likely get in trouble for taking a detour on the walk home from school. But she did it anyway just to get Vitalogy.
Then the station proceeded to play Betterman.
