Obama's False Promise on Offshore Drilling

Why would a man like Obama who's into nationalizing industries,who rejects capitalism and is a spread the wealth type person.Why would he suddenly embrace drilling and refining and more of a market system ? This won't produce a drop of oil.
The price of fuel is going up and obama doesn't want to be blamed for it so in the mean time he says he is going to say he's going to drill off shore but really all this is going to do is stall the process He's banking that we wont understand this. He' diabolical and devious IMO and this is nothing but a game that his interior secretary is going to play delay along with The EPA and those other evviormental groups that don't like people. Watch how this plays out, and this is giong to open the door even further to get cap and trade passed.

    You're right about one thing. This is pure polotics. Drill baby drill! He's calling the Repub's bluff and it looks like it may work out in favor for him. We'll see.

    I'm not too happy about it... i think that we should either conserve as a nation to ween ourselves off on Middle Eastern oil (or change our foriegn policy and quit meddling in their domestic affairs in order to get a better price) and just pay for the shit and ask for a receipt.
    ... and Afghanistan is a basket case because of the long neglect.

    But he's not going to. That's my point. Why are so many of you against drilling. When was the last time there was an enviromental disaster? Why are some against using our own resources and getting off of foreign oil? Wouldn't more refineries mean more jobs and make our economy stronger?

    Ok then tell me this.. What about when the EPA got DDT banned? What about all the people that died in 3rd world countries becuase of malaria?     this was a good move by obama. this was the centerpiece of the republicans energy policy "drill baby drill" and now that he calls their bluff and approves drilling, guess what, the gop opposes it...make up your minds please...
