i miss the roo too. PJ's set was so much better than i was expecting and all the cool bands..it was awesome. Shroomin to Sigur Ros was pretty sweet, chilling out with all the neighbors.. The heat was terrible for me in the morning. Never slept past 830-9. Food was overpriced for the quality but what do you expect....grilled cheese for a dollar was awesome.

..i'll have to compare rothbury and bonnaroo to see which i'll go to.

Its the same distance for me, but going to check the line up. I didn't sleep past 7am, let alone 830. It was too hot for a Yankee for sure.

that's true- it was too hot to sleep and too damn light outside. I forgot about that.

We had tarps, set up correctly with the sunrise and all that. Still way too hot in the AM. The sun beat on the tarp and the heat just went right thru the tent. We had fans and took all precautions and advice that I could find. Still had one of the best times of my life, boiling hot or no.
I think it was our spot (VIP) The sun just came in where our tent was. Next time we are putting the van in the place the sun comes up over the tent. I think that was our mistake. Believe me, we had tarps!!

my favorite Bonnaroo memory is from Sunday afternoon. the weather was perfect... sunny, but not too hot. my girl and i had just scored some very fine blaze, and we had the perfect high going as we walked down from our VIP tents to the What stage. Robert Plant and Alison Krauss were playing "In the Mood". hippie girls were running around in big circles, twirling as they neared each other. my girlfriend had a polaroid camera and we took pictures of random people and gave them the prints - seeing their faces light up was well worth the relatively inexpensive cost of the 30 prints we brought down (oh, and some people gave us some special cookies in return). when we got into the crowd in front of the stage, there was a guy dressed up as Jesus and he was blessing people with water, lol. we got a polaroid pic of him, which still makes me smile. i realized i hadn't taken a picture of my lady yet that weekend, so i told her that, and she stepped back and smiled, and i think its the lovliest picture ever taken of her.
