Song Request - PJ please play whatever you feel like playing

I'd rather talk about 'I wonder what they're going to play' than please play this song or that song. Let them create the show and decide what they want to present to us. I trust them to put on a great show and I like to be surprised.

Hmmmm..... not familiar with that tune...... haha just kidding, i agree, but I think that requesting songs and hearing other peoples requests and reasons on here is fun and time passing, pointless, but fun

First of all mine is for my wife. Secondly if I wanted to request a song for myself it would be SOLAT or Indifference or Wash. Mine is a very special request and if they don't play it they don't play it. I don't take PJ for granted just thought I'd give it a shot for the wife.

p.s. If I were to request a cover it'd be Hunger Strike. :D

No matter what kind of thread is started there always has to be someone that doesn't like it. Stop reading those threads if you don't like them. SIMPLE.

Please play an obscure b-side so I can feel superior to those who didn't attend.

I recall at a show someone had a no Even Flow shirt on then they played it. Ed turned to the guy and said we take requests not orders. Just throwing that out there.

  • If you listen to eddie solo in Chicago in 2008, he talks about requests and mentions that he has been creating setlists for a while and would rather do so that let it up to rookies, so no requests at the show.

Yeah, there were complaints about that in Adelaide too. No Betterman! Shame shame they didn't play Betterman. Can't get over some people - no pleasing them. For fuck's sake they don't have to play Betterman every show to make it a good show, they played some great shows in Australia this time around with notable absence of BM and I couldn't care less if they played it or not. Good song, but it's nice to have something else in its place! Yeah, let the guys choose what they want to play. I'd be happy with anything, long as I get to see them again.

Yeah, all the 'please play **** in *****' do get a bit monotonous! They'd have to employ a-whole-nother person at 10c to keep track of who requests what FGS!!! ;)

Luckily, PJ seems to like playing Given to Fly. So, I don't need to request it.

I LOVE that song. I hear that song when I'm running and I just SOAR with JOY!

Now that the tour is over maybe consider this next time around. I know in the time we are living in, access to forums, bands + it's hard not to ask for some song for someone. I just long for the days when band came on and played. Each song hits each of us differently for different reasons. When it's dedicated to one person it takes the focus to them. Even though their request may be super meaningful and deserved. So instead of my mind going on its own journey, it's taken on yours. Then if they don't play your request, it has to be a tiny bit of a let down for you. Then when there is a shout out it is unmatched excitement. So I'm sure people will keep requesting stuff.

I don't go to shows anymore anyway so I shouldn't care

    Something to think about.
    I'll go f..k off now!
